Module 1 - Wound Care and Healing

    This module includes an introduction on topics such as the assessment of wounds and wound healing, presentations on wound healing, dressings, kieloids, skin closure technique and suture materials, as well as a practice test.

Module 2 - Flaps and Grafts

    This module includes presentations on skin grafts, free tissue transfers, tendon transfers, muscle flaps, trunk reconstruction, lower extremity reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction and lip and cheek reconstruction. This module also contains a practice test.

Module 3 - Skin & Soft Tissue Lesions

    This module includes an introduction on topics such as the benign skin and soft tissue lesions, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Presentations in this module are on the topics of benign skin lesions as well as skin cancer. Tutorials take you through the diagnosis and treatment of a suspicious hand lesion and melanoma. A practice test is also provided to test your knowledge.

Module 4 - Thermal, Electrical and Chemical Injuries

    Module 4 begins with an introduction covering topics such as assessment of burns, basic burn treatment, classification of burn depths, estimating burn surface area, chemical burns, paediatric burns and indications for referral to the burn unit. Presentations in this module cover the topics of electrical, chemical and pediatric burns, advanced burn life support and the principles of burn surgery. A case on the assessment and management of major burns as well as a practice test are also included in this module.

Module 5 - Head and Neck

    Module 5 begins with an introduction in craniofacial plastic surgery and covers craniofacial trauma, cleft lip and palate, and congenital and acquired craniofacial reconstruction. Slide shows are available on a variety of topics such as facial fractures, cfleft lip and palate and head and neck reconstruction. This module also contains a practice test.

Module 6 - Breast Surgery

    This module contains a slide show on immediate reconstruction after mastectomy and a case on breast reconstruction.

Module 7 - Hand Injuries

    Module 7 begins with an overview of hand injuries such as amputations, nerve injuries, tendon lacerations, ligament injuries, compartment syndrome, burns and more. The etiology and assessment of hand injuries is also explained. Slideshows on brachial plexus injuries, hand tumors, injection injuries, flexor tendon injuries, nerve entrapment and the wrist are available.  Two cases are available, the first describes a digital reconstruction using a great toe to thumb transfer, the second is on the assessment and management of extensive volar wrist lacerations. A tutorial will take you through the common injuries seen in plastic surgery. This module also contains a practice test.

    This module contains a slideshow on congenital hand abnormalities.
