Module 7 - Hand Injuries
Description:
Module 7 begins with an overview of hand injuries such as amputations, nerve injuries, tendon lacerations, ligament injuries, compartment syndrome, burns and more. The etiology and assessment of hand injuries is also explained. Slideshows on brachial plexus injuries, hand tumors, injection injuries, flexor tendon injuries, nerve entrapment and the wrist are available. Two cases are available, the first describes a digital reconstruction using a great toe to thumb transfer, the second is on the assessment and management of extensive volar wrist lacerations.
